The LCD3 is designed to give the user the ability to control multiple services from a common panel instead of having separate panels for each service and thus removing 'wall clutter' (affectionately known as 'wall acne' to many in the industry!). These services may include; Lighting, Audio, Motorised Curtains/Blinds, Pumps and Irrigation to name just a few of the more common. Features of the LCD3 include; Soft Keys - Each button's function can be changed, depending on which menu you are currently in. This allows you to have as few, or as many, functions as you like, from that panel. Backlight and Nightlight - The menus are backlit, so they are easy to read day or night and a tiny 'nightlight' automatically illuminates when the backlight turns off, making it easy for you to find the panel in the dark. Alarm Clock - Throw away that annoying alarm clock! .... Why not fade the lights, and the music up slowly, after all, it is 6 A.M. ! Sleep Timer - Set the time to gradually fade the lights out and turn the volume down as you fall into slumber! Text
and Graphics - Each menu can contain a combination of text and graphics.
For example "lights high" as text or Remote Control - The LCD3 panels can also have an Infrared remote control receiver built in, so, any functions available on the automation system are now available on your remote control. Audio, Lights, Curtains, front door perhaps? The Infrared receiver is also intelligent, so, if you adjust the volume, it can adjust the volume in the room you are in, walk in the next room with the same remote control and it will now adjust that room. You can also use any learning remote control you like, be it a simple push button, or a sophisticated touch screen type. Even infrared enabled PDA's, such as a Palm Pilot can be used. Coming Soon! MP3 Music Server - If an MP3 player is added to the system, the LCD3 keypads can display music titles for you to choose from and then automatically play them back to the appropriate area. |
